For school leaders
Nothing to procure to begin
Spry spreads one classroom at a time. A teacher signs up with a school email, the school is created from the domain, and colleagues join automatically. Leadership gets involved only when it wants whole-school reporting — and that is the only thing we charge a school for.
School mode, free, school-wide
Every teacher and every class. Roster by CSV or by typing names, print take-home slips, see progress on the curriculum map. No seat limit and no admin approval.
School Plus
A leadership dashboard across classes, term reports, rostering and single sign-on, plus the privacy paperwork your department asks for. One flat yearly fee per school, sized by enrolment — not a bill per child.
Home for every family
Some schools and P&Cs want every child to have the games and the full kingdom at home. We can licence Home mode school-wide from $10 per student per year, with the parent dashboard free for every family.
Privacy, in the paragraph you can forward to your principal
Spry shows no advertising and never sells or shares student data. Children use profiles created by a teacher or parent; students never sign themselves up and there is no chat between users. Teachers do not need to collect parent emails — families connect through a printed code. Data is stored on Google Cloud (Firebase) and any family or school can ask us to delete it. See our Privacy Policy.
We reply within one business day. We do not cold-call schools.
Questions
The things people ask before they sign up
What is free, exactly?
For teachers: School mode for your whole class, with no limit on how many teachers at your school join. Schools pay nothing to start. Parents who link a school code get the parent dashboard and class progress for free. The full Home kingdom (maps, games, everything) needs a Family subscription — start with a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan in the app.
What's the difference between Home mode and School mode?
School mode is the learning core — the Sky Kingdom, the maps and the quizzes — so a classroom stays focused. Home mode adds the games and rewards: Number Ninja, Spell Book and Hometown. Teachers use School mode; families use Home mode.
My child's teacher set them up. Do I have to pay?
No. Use the code on the slip from school to create a free parent account and see your child's class progress on your phone. If you'd like the games and the whole kingdom at home, upgrade to the Family plan whenever you're ready.
How many children are covered?
One Family plan covers up to six child profiles on one adult account. Each child has their own year level, progress and rewards.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — choose the yearly Family plan in the app for a 7-day free trial of full Home mode. Nothing is charged until the trial ends; cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play account. The monthly plan is $9 with no trial.
What does a school pay?
Nothing to start. In 2027 we'll add School Plus — a flat yearly fee per school for a leadership dashboard, term reports, rostering and single sign-on. Schools that want Home mode for every enrolled child can arrange a site licence from $10 per student per year.
Which subjects and years are covered?
Years 1–6 of the Australian Curriculum (V9). Maths, English, Science, Humanities and Technologies are live today; Health & PE is on the way. Maths and English have the deepest question banks and both mini-games.
Which devices?
Kids learn on iPad and Android tablets (and Windows PCs in classrooms). Parents manage children and see progress on their phone with the same app. Teachers set up classes on the web.
